About This Project
At a lovely place called Not Back To School Camp, in mid August of 2011, I made an intention in front of the entire camp to take photos. But not just every now and then – I vowed to take one (hopefully good) photo per day, for 365 days.
A year, I figured, wouldn’t be that long.
And now that it’s done, and I can look back on it, it really wasn’t. It was wonderful – even on the days when it really sucked.
But it made me realize that photography, for me, should be something more than a hobby.
I have an etsy shop now – shutteredintentions.etsy.com
I’ve recently done the photography for the MS walk in my area.
I’m growing. And it’s all thanks to you!

I like your point of view – so here I am, following you!
Awesome! Thank you!
I really like the concept of your project… it may take a healthy dose of self-discipline on days that you’re feeling less motivated, but ultimately it sounds like a whole lot of fun! Thanks for sharing…
Best wishes,
Susie
It is a lot of fun! I’m really glad that I do it every day, even on the days I have to make myself do it :P
I can’t think of someone better to meet this intention than you. I’ll be following along and enjoying your talent. Suggestions: circle of life, learning, unschooling, inspiration, laughter, family, and, of course, storytelling and haikus. If you find a bicycle that inspires you, use that as a topic, too.
you’re that best, thank you! <3
I have added them to the prompt jar!
Following along…wish I had the time to take photos each day. Here are some suggestions, morning, cup, friend, and…serenity.
Good luck!
Thanks for following! It means a lot to me.
And thankee much for the suggestions! I shall write them down and throw them in the jar!
Wow.. and I have a hard time just doing Every Day in May!!! This is awesome Ellie. I really look forward to seeing the photos and the growth that I know a project like this brings out! Maybe we can go shooting together some time!
Sometimes I don’t feel like doing it, but so far I’ve managed to keep up on it.. We’ll see how I get along :P
And yeah, I’d love to do that!!
